New Motu Road shelter

High on the Motu Road above Motu, there's a pull-off where shuttle vans often stop, to drop riders.

At this high point, in April, a new shelter was completed, with local funding put in by Motu Trails Charitable Trust - thanks to an extraordinary generous donation made in 2018 by Garth and Judy Barfoot.

It’s super pleasing that we could double the value of the Barfoots' generosity with co-funding from The New Zealand Cycle Trail.

Volunteers helped finish the shelter.
